What are your areas of expertise?

I’ve been working in consulting, focused on change management and learning programs, for ten years now. Primarily my projects have been technology implementations. I enjoy strategizing with the client in designing the overall approach — partnering with them to understand their current culture, challenges and where they’ve been successful. I’m often facilitating change impact assessments, designing communications plan and learning programs.

What does a “day in the life” look like for you?

My day kicks off with a Slalom Team stand up. I then balance my time with internal Slalom team meetings and seeing my client counterpart(s).

Partnering with my fellow Slalom team members helps me to stay informed of client risks/issues, what’s being built (i.e. Salesforce), challenges and wins — this helps me to identify stakeholder challenges, process changes and key training items.

I connect habitually with my client counterparts whose titles maybe change lead, communications manager and/or L&D director. I’m often creating strategy decks drafting communications or consulting them on stakeholder engagement challenges.

What has been a favorite project you’ve worked on at Slalom?

This last project where we delivered a unified Salesforce console for an enterprise contact center was a memorable experience. The Slalom team partnered outstandingly well — seeking to understand each other’s scope and to support outside of our assigned roles; this really helped us to avoid the silos and miscommunications that can often occur. Each team member kept our end users, the Customer Service Associates, at the forefront of our work to achieve our project objectives. Each member of our team felt safe to be their unique selves, participate in brainstorming, brought humor and partnership throughout the project.

How has Slalom helped you #LoveYouFuture

At Slalom I feel like I have a community of people who are for me — encouraging me to grow not only professionally but also personally. Professionally, there are endless ways for me to grow my skills and learn –classroom training, lunch and learns, or just setting up coffee with someone in the office I don’t know yet. The people here at Slalom really make all the difference, and I experienced that when a family member passed away in early 2020. My co-workers were incredibly empathetic, checked in on me and provided flexibility with work so that I could step away to focus on my family. I’m grateful to work for an organization who make their people its priority.
