How long have you been at Slalom? Why did you join Slalom?

I have been at Slalom for about 2 years. What drew me to Slalom was their focus on people. Everyone I spoke to was smart, curious, and passionate about delivering amazing outcomes for clients. On top of this, people were deeply invested in each other’s growth and passions — which really stood out to me.

What are your areas of expertise?

Customer experience (CX) strategy including research, customer journeys, product strategy, digital/transformation roadmaps, digital product development, and human-centered design.

What does a day-in-the-life look like for you?

I have the opportunity to work with a team of brilliant experience designers, solution architects, and technologists to help our clients understand their customers, respond to changing expectations, capitalize on new opportunities and execute on CX led initiatives.

Every day I get to help clients understand their customers by conducting user and customer research, analyzing existing experiences, leading human center design workshops and interviews, defining growth opportunities, and developing roadmaps/frameworks for delivery. To do so, I partner with my clients from the start and bring them along the way to ensure we are achieving mutual success and delivering experiences that exceed customer expectations.

What has been a favorite project?

With a human-centered design approach, we partnered with a financial service company on transforming their CX strategy. In parallel, we also worked with them on shifting their delivery approach to a customer-centric, product mindset. The CX vision was brought to life through personas, journey maps, and a digital product roadmap that put the customer at the center of decision making.

The CX strategy identified critical moments in the customer experience and helped define features for the MVP. As a result, the client was better equipped to deliver a meaningful experience that exceeds their customer needs.

How has Slalom helped you #LoveYouFuture?

The structure of Slalom and the smart, kind people I work with have allowed me to grow to where I am today. From day one, leadership was interested in understanding where I wanted to learn, grow, and develop. They push me to try new opportunities in areas that interested me and tell me not to let the fear of failure get in the way.

During my time at Slalom, I have also been able to evolve my personal life and have expanded our family. I truly appreciate the ongoing support and balance I get at Slalom to work on meaningful work for our clients and spend quality time with my family.
